The Manifestation Of A Movement

When It's All Said And Done, This Will Be Replaced With The Faces Of Devonte Smith, Mike James, and Jansen Wordsworth, and possibly Big Shirley. God Bless America...

This is the 100th post of this captivating extravaganza known as And This Is My America.

Call it a quarter life crisis, but Mike James, Jansen Wordsworth and myself, Devonte Smith have essentially decided to stick it to the man with this.

In the first 2 months we have received numerous comments ranging from displays of affection to near death threats.

Before I continue, I would like to thank all of you out there in viewer land for every visit to the site and every comment, good or bad, we dearly appreciate it.

With that said, to those of you who have enjoyed the stories, rants, pictures, videos, and commentary, we will continue to try our best to deliver quality content, while also pushing the boundaries of what society has deemed acceptable versus what we feel should be heard.

A lot of things need to be brought to the forefront.

Shit is bad.

Granted, we have literally made a career out of bitterness, but the border line misanthropy is there amongst the modern youth.

Essentially, this is my America and if tomorrow things were different, we would be writing about the over abundance of job opportunities and the overflowing cash in our bank accounts.

But that aint’ happenin, so your stuck with this reflection of America versus the same dream we were all sold as a child.

Now to the naysayers, you guys are the driving force behind this machine.

Honestly, there is nothing more satisfying than receiving a conservative rant about why John McCain is what this country needs because he believes in country first, not handouts.

Gimme a fucking break, first of all, John McCain is a loser, he is a bad pilot who scumbagged his first wife, so if you want to ride or die with the Straight Talk Express then so be it, but don’t expect us to take you seriously.

Second of all, this is not The New Republic or The Huffington Post, so please take our apparent liberal stance with a grain of salt before you take one blurb overly personal.

Politics is far from the purpose of this blog, but in the midst of an election, it engulfs all of America.

We aren’t anti-conservative, but we are anti-ignorance (cant wait for the rebuttal on that one).

Frankly, we don’t give a shit what you think as long as you keep clicking when we post.

RSS Feed, Bookmark, Homepage it, whatever.

We’re riding this train to the top.

Much to a hater’s dismay, this is actually part of a much bigger plan, that ends with all of us smiling for the camera in front of our stars on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

So whether you think we are stupid, obnoxious, funny, cynical, smart (yes, some people actually do find us quite intelligent), sexist, or even immature, believe it or not, you have already bought into the movement.

Joe The Plumber…Meet Ashley The Liar….

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D9411R800&show_article=1

She now can’t explain why she invented the story, Bryant said. Todd also told police she believes she cut the backward “B” onto her own cheek, but did not provide an explanation of how or why, Bryant said.

I know we said we were curbing the political talk till after the election…

But this is less about politics and more about just how stupid the above woman is…

Ashley Todd, 20 yr old McCain supporter, (obviously) admitted to the cops today that her story that a 6’4″ black man (obviously) robbed her at an ATM and then pinned her to the ground while carving a “B” into her cheek was a complete lie…

This bitch is crazy…

First for fabricating the lie to begin with…but then for showing up to the police station looking like the shit actually happened!!!

Look at her!!!

Is she serious…what the fuck did she do run into a door knob and then carve a B into her own face while looking in the mirror???

Perhaps the best part is she said the imaginary black man said “You are going to be a Barack supporter…”

Oooooooohhhh!!!!!

Scarrrrry black man!!!!!

I dont know…that seems like a LOT to make up…(without the help of some Crystal Meth or PCP)

My 7th grade History teacher, Mr. Bomer used to have a saying, “Only in America…”

“Mr. Bomer I didnt have a chance to finish the reading and the homework…”

“Only in America!”

Went something like that…

Somewhere…probably in a local strip club…Mr.Bomer is reading about this story and shaking his head…

Only in America Mr. Bomer…Only in America…

“I Am Not President Bush (But I Stand For Everything He Does)…

“The fact that you keep bringing Ayers up says more about your campaign than it says about me.”

Well to tell you the truth, I am glad that its over…

With no more debates left in this marathon of an election…the chapter has turned to the final stretch…

20 days to go…

In his final attempt to swing the momentum in his direction…the immediate polls following suggest McCain didn’t succeed…

It was clear that this was his strongest debate performance…and perhaps Obama’s weakest…but I don’t think in any sense that it scored as a game changer in the eyes of hesitant independent voters…

I think McCain’s strong opposition to Roe v. Wade will resonate with the same female voters he thought would flock to his campaign when Palin was adopted to the ticket…

I think the split screen coverage did not favor McCain…who cannot hide his disdain for Obama…and often times came across looking uncomfortable and just plain senior citizen-esque…

I also feel like going into this debate most people have already made up their mind as to who they will choose when they step into that booth…

So at this point…And This Is My America is going to take a step back and let the people focus for the next 20 days…

However, we will bring official And This Is My America coverage of Election Day 2008…so be sure to check back as the 4th approaches…

Unless McCain and Palin or Obama and Biden says something outlandishly retarded…we’ll leave the day to day grind to the Huffington Post…

Till next time…

2 Down…One To Go…

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/08/opinion/08wed1.html?_r=2&ref=opinion&pagewanted=print&oref=slogin&oref=slogin

So no gloves came off…

Instead we were just treated to a desperate man trying to put his team in a better position than it was a day prior…but it didnt happen…

This is becoming eerily reminiscent of the primaries…when we saw that once Hillary was aware that Obama actually had a chance to win this thing…there was no way she could hide her disgust nor her sense of entitilement…

Now it’s the same thing…except obviously with the stakes higher…those emotional feelings are that much more intense…

Take a look at this quote from the New York Times editorial piece above:

Mr. McCain’s aides haven’t even tried to hide their cynical tactics, saying they were “going negative” in hopes of shifting attention away from the financial crisis — and by implication Mr. McCain’s stumbling response.

I just don’t get how this is the GOP strategy, at this point in the game…

Shift attention away from the financial crisis???

And do what?? Talk about 9/11 and terrorism…

Come on…not even Rudy Giuliani thinks that is the best strategy…

For someone with such alleged knowledge and experience…it appears his campaign lacks both those qualities…

With one debate to go…and nothing but gameday in the back of both these men’s heads…it will be interesting to see who has the momentum going into Election Day…

And if that momentum will translate into a W…or if this story ends like the 2000 Election…with the wrong kind of Dubya

The Second Debate…

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/06/presidential.debate/index.html

With the debates a few hours away…I can’t help but wonder what exactly is John McCain’s aim for tonight?

With the foreign policy debate out of the way… I am just not sure what else McCain can frighten people with regarding Obama when it comes to policy…

Unfortunately, it is quite clear that policy is not going to be at the forefront of the McCain campaign…no…these motherfuckers are in the land of desperation…

With their backs against the walls…they have resorted to the “Kitchen Sink” strategy employed by our dear friend Senator Clinton…

Under this strategy, McCain, Palin, and friends will spend the next 20 or so days hurling political dirt at Obama until its time to cast our ballots…

Only problem with this is…when you throw dirt at someone for the 2nd time…a lot less of it sticks…they have already been tarnished…

What else could possibly be said about Rev. Wright and William Ayers that is going to sound new and more threatening than it did months ago when it was initially brought up by Hillary…

Like I get it in Hillary’s case…policy for policy…they were so similar it wasn’t much else for Hillary to do once she started losing but get negative because there wasn’t anything else to focus on besides small differences in their respective health care plans…

But with this? It is so obvious that if this was a fight on policy vs. policy, McCain would lose…Why else would he waste the last few weeks of the campaign season highlighting alleged character flaws on Obama?

If John McCain was really the better choice…he and his campaign would just tell you that…instead of telling you why the other guy has had bad acquintances…

Gimme a break…

For every Jeremiah Wright…theres a Charles Keating in McCains’s corner…

Just like…for as much experience that Obama lacks…theres as much faulty experience that John McCain has under his belt….

So go ahead Mr.Maverick…take those gloves off…

But first start by acknowleding that you voted with Bush more than 95% of the time since he has taken office…a very telling display of just how much experience and knowledge you truly do possess…

Or is that too policy driven to be covered in the debate?? Perhaps you will just answer the question the way you want to…or just tell us a little bit about your track record…

The X Factor…

Alright…so I didn’t post a debate recap…

I’ll tell you why folks…frankly…there just wasn’t much to be said…

And whatever could be said…millions of political blogs covered extensively in the hours following…

With what I felt was no clear cut dominant winner…I think each party felt their nominee won…

And lets be real Devonte Smith isn’t Anderson Cooper…so I went with the financial crisis which I thought had a greater impact on the people this blog represents…

With that said…tomorrow’s debates?

Will definitely quench America’s thirst for entertainment…

I mean honestly…McCain keeping us on the edge of our seat deciding whether he was going to come or not was probably the biggest highlight…

Polls show Obama won the debate but I personally think he could have done a better job of staying on the offensive…especially in the second half…

However, McCain’s biggest mistake yet was not waiting to pull the old okey doke and hold the nation hostage for tomorrow’s debate with Palin!!!

After the recent, now famed Katie Couric interview, the current economic woes, and McCain’s general numbers slipping in the polls…the stakes are higher than ever…

I’m sure Sarah Palin is somewhere right now with a team of advisers who are HAMMERING her with facts and tips to get her up to speed for tomorrow…

And I’m also sure that somewhere Joe Biden is in a recliner being the cocky motherfucker that he is…

Now while some of our conservative readers may feel like I am a biased liberal…which they wouldn’t be necessarily wrong for thinking…I am fully aware that Joe Biden has a big fucking mouth…and I do like him…but I know hes underestimating Palin right now…

I mean why wouldn’t he…in his head…this is fact vs. fiction and he’s a smart guy…but in reality its “it ain’t over till its over…”

He has to smoke her tomorrow night…point blank…

While many women and conservatives seemed to feel a boost of support for the Republican Party when Palin was initially picked…it seems that tide has turned…

That’s why to me, this debate could be the difference maker…

If Sarah Palin essentially confirms in front of the whole nation that she is really that unfit for the job of VP, to what would be a 72 yr old President…it would cement a reputation that cannot be changed with less than 5 weeks to go…

Remember…just as easily as the pendulum swung the GOP’s way when Palin was brought on…it can easily swing back Obama’s way…

In reality…Obama is not going to win over any hardcore Republicans in the next few weeks…it just doesn’t work like that…

But what Joe Biden can do tomorrow night is be the X factor in reassuring the Clintonistas and Independents that while we all know Obama isn’t gonna fucking save the world…his economic and moral values are way more in line to fix the past 8 years than those of his opponent…

Friday Night Lights…

So after all the hoopla, Mr. McCain is ready for the debate…

Unfortunately, so is the KKK

Wow…this should be interesting…

As a young black man from New York City…the klan doesnt scare me one bit because

a) I’ve never seen them

b) I could probably fuck 1-2 of them up real bad…

c) They would never dare step foot in NYC in this day and age knowing the violent repercussions …

However, this debate is not in NYC, its in Mississippi…and out there?

Shit is real…

Not in terms of violence per se, but more in regards to influence…

With the recent AP-Yahoo News Poll, revealing that many whites are still hesitant to vote for Obama solely because of his race, tonight’s debate, and the two that will follow, are more important than ever…

You see in my opinion, I feel that there are many middle class whites who agree with everything Obama stands for…from his tax plans to his desire for change…but just cannot fathom themselves walking into that booth, clicking Dem, and pulling that lever…

So the question is, will these middle class, working class, white Americans essentially cut their nose to spite their face?

Or can the Obama campaign prove to them that John McCain does not represent them and their needs?

His first real opportunity begins tonight…

While individual speeches and fear-mongering ads are one thing…to have both candidates side by side debating the future of our nation makes the election that much more tangible…

Lets see if Obama can win a few voters over…

Stay tuned for the recap later this weekend…

Is You Scared Motherfucker…Keep It Real With Me…

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/us/AP-McCain.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin

Delay the debates???

You crazy old fuck…hell no!!!

Now is the best time to have them…not after the bailout when shit is nice and smooth…so you can have Palin come out and flash the audience some nipple and get them distracted…

Sorry buddy…Friday it is…

But don’t worry John…in the eyes of all the racist, ignorant, inbred Americans out there…your still their hero and best choice for the job!!!

On a Sunday Morning Nonetheless…

“It was two days after the he said the fundamentals of the economy were strong. His talking points have gotten all mixed up. And I think the question of age is back on the table.” – Sam Donaldson

Seems fitting, what a better way to start the week than for Sam Donaldson and friends to rip into John McCain on The Roundtable…

This is great…

The type of shit that people who support McCain WONT watch!!!

This is definitely the time for Obama to pounce on these bloodsuckers and never look back…

If the Democratic Party plays their cards right they can really capitalize on McCain’s lack of economic knowledge and empathy…

I sense the gap widens in the polls and Obama really starts to appeal to working class middle America…

They may be racist, but lets see if they will cut their nose to spite their face…
