It’s interesting because the handwriting was on the wall…but it still sucked…
While Corporate America is shitty…a guaranteed check is always good…
However, I’d say all in all, it is for the best.

Talk about a shitty ass year
Shitty economy, shitty movies, shitty music…
Shitty shitty shitty…
So me and the rest of us here at And This Is My America are bidding farewell to a year that will always be marked by the biggest financial disaster since the Great Depression, as well as the biggest election our generation has seen.
With that said, there is light a the end of the tunnel (kind of)…
I do think things will change at some point…
And hopefully a new administration will bring an influx of jobs sooner than later…
But at the very least you have me, Devonte Smith, as well as And This Is My America to guide you through these turbulent times…
Books, feature films, HBO series, Apparel, Action Figures, Wii games….
The sky is the motherfucking limit for us – provided you do your part out there in viewer land…

It’s always funny until someone gets hurt.
And right now, we are all hurting.
There are some that will play it off like shit isn’t that bad.
But at this point we can no longer pretend.
I can read.
And according to the article above it is clear that we are not only right smack in the middle of a recession, but this shit aint changing anytime soon.
At this point, ALL of us know someone who has been directly affected by our current economic situation…
I happen to know many people who have had their life altered by this…
While it may seem hard for you to grasp, the only real complaint I have is the focus of the relief.
Rewind back a few months to how happy we were spending that measly $600 bucks Dubya gave us…
I now consider that hush money.
A small little crumb to keep a pack of hungry wolves quiet for the summer.
Now fast forward to where we are now, and what do you know?
When we really need a little bit of help, it seems that all the suits in private jets are the only ones that matter.
I wont say the idea of a bailout is bad.
But, I will say its not fair.
Its almost a reward for the incompetence that lead to all of this in the first place.
While it is clear many of these auto companies need help, I really don’t think they need a handout.
WE need a handout.
First it was inflation, and now its deflation.
First it was an economic downturn, and now its a deep recession.
First it was “This will be over soon, the American public will make it out of this”, and now its “The Fed is anticipating significant further slowing in the economy.”
Where does that leave us?
Broke and bitter…
I’ll tell you what though, I do have faith.
At the end of the day me, Mike James, Jansen Wordsworth, and of course Big Shirley are ready to jump the border in the event shit really does hit the fan.
Mexico or Canada…we can flip a coin and decide at the airport…
A net positive either way…Canada has legal bud in B.C. and Mexico has legal…anything!!!

When It's All Said And Done, This Will Be Replaced With The Faces Of Devonte Smith, Mike James, and Jansen Wordsworth, and possibly Big Shirley. God Bless America...
This is the 100th post of this captivating extravaganza known as And This Is My America.
Call it a quarter life crisis, but Mike James, Jansen Wordsworth and myself, Devonte Smith have essentially decided to stick it to the man with this.
In the first 2 months we have received numerous comments ranging from displays of affection to near death threats.
Before I continue, I would like to thank all of you out there in viewer land for every visit to the site and every comment, good or bad, we dearly appreciate it.
With that said, to those of you who have enjoyed the stories, rants, pictures, videos, and commentary, we will continue to try our best to deliver quality content, while also pushing the boundaries of what society has deemed acceptable versus what we feel should be heard.
A lot of things need to be brought to the forefront.
Shit is bad.
Granted, we have literally made a career out of bitterness, but the border line misanthropy is there amongst the modern youth.
Essentially, this is my America and if tomorrow things were different, we would be writing about the over abundance of job opportunities and the overflowing cash in our bank accounts.
But that aint’ happenin, so your stuck with this reflection of America versus the same dream we were all sold as a child.
Now to the naysayers, you guys are the driving force behind this machine.
Honestly, there is nothing more satisfying than receiving a conservative rant about why John McCain is what this country needs because he believes in country first, not handouts.
Gimme a fucking break, first of all, John McCain is a loser, he is a bad pilot who scumbagged his first wife, so if you want to ride or die with the Straight Talk Express then so be it, but don’t expect us to take you seriously.
Second of all, this is not The New Republic or The Huffington Post, so please take our apparent liberal stance with a grain of salt before you take one blurb overly personal.
Politics is far from the purpose of this blog, but in the midst of an election, it engulfs all of America.
We aren’t anti-conservative, but we are anti-ignorance (cant wait for the rebuttal on that one).
Frankly, we don’t give a shit what you think as long as you keep clicking when we post.
